What tools do you use for your art and how long does it take you to finish something?

I use a free program called Paint.NET for my digital works and some of my art (such as normal or anthro chibis) is drawn completely using that program. However, for my anthro art I draw the sketch with a pencil and take a photo of it so that I can ink and color it digitally. To work digitally I use a simple computer mouse- I do not have a tablet. On average it takes me around 6-8 hours per drawing from start to finish but it varies greatly depending on the style I'm drawing in as well as the characters that I am drawing. Keep in mind that that figure is not all at once though; my art process is generally strung out over a matter of days.



Where did you learn to draw/ do you accept criticism?

I am mostly a self-taught artist. I attended one semester of the graphic arts program at my college before my major was changed and in that semester the only art related class I took was Color Theory. Besides that my journey in art has been one filled with observing my surroundings and other artists that I look up to in order to better my artwork. I believe that as a result of this I am often slow to accept criticism from people whom I am not familiar with and will often discard critical input from other random people. Yes this is rude of me, but I have been doing just fine on my own so far and I would like to point out that art is nothing more than a hobby for me. It is something I do for fun and therefore I like to keep it fun instead of stressing over making sure my anatomy is perfect (which it never will be) or that my poses are dynamic enough or whatever else people generally have issues with. I am currently attending school to pursue a career in law enforcement, which obviously has no effect (and vice versa) on my art skills and ability to take criticism from random strangers about my works. There ARE a few select artists that I do take criticism from, and I'm happy with that and trust their advice far more than I would any random person on the internet's.

Are you a furry?

It depends on your definition. Is a furry someone who draws anthros, has a fursona, and is involved with the furry community? Then the answer is yes. However, I do not yiff and I am not into any form of bestiality (nor are most furry fans for that matter, but whatever). I draw anthropormorphic artwork because it's what I grew up drawing and even now I find it much more creative and funner than drawing humans. So again, it depends on your definition. I do not normally refer to myself as a furry however so I leave it up to you.

Will you draw a request for me?

Unfortunately since I have started taking point commissions I do not take requests from random people anymore. Once in a while I may open them though so you should always check my journal and page before asking and you just might get lucky and catch me when they are open. As of now though, the only way you can get a request is if I offer it (which I do in fact do now and then) or if you are a friend of one of the members of my fam and THEY ask me to do it for you.

Can we be friends?

Maybe. I'm rather shy both in person and online and I am generally not comfortable with branching out or even talking at all when there are strangers involved; so if you really want to be my friend you will have to work for it, to be perfectly honest. Sometimes though I just don't want to get to know people. It's nothing personal- it's just me and my issues. I apologize if that hurts your feelings, but I'm not really worth it anyway.

I need help; can you please give me advice?

Although I'm a bit of a misfit and can come off as rather cold sometimes, I always want to help, so if you have a question- be it about something art-related, about any software or computer things, or about life itself don't hesitate to ask. If it's personal you can note me and I won't be irked by it. Even if you are a complete stranger if you think I have the answers or just need someone to talk to go right ahead.
